How Do I...
Make An Appointment?

The doctors are available to see patients both morning and afternoon, Monday to Friday with additional extended hours by appointment only. Like most practices our appointments are in considerable demand. They can be booked by ringing 625 6128 during normal surgery hours;

You only need to ring at 8.00am if you need to be seen that day.

Medically URGENT cases will always be seen on the same day, but you may not be able to see the doctor of your choice.

If you want to pre-book a routine appointment (up to three weeks in advance) you can ring at any time during the day.

To make your visit to the surgery easier, we have an automated arrivals screen as you enter reception. When used, it will announce your arrival electronically rather than you having to book in at the reception desk.

If you do not need to see the doctor face to face you can book a telephone consultation. The doctor will ring you back within one hour of the pre-arranged time.

During holiday periods, study leave etc, there may be a delay in routine appointments, but a doctor will always see urgent cases. If you feel that you may need more than the usual time for a consultation (on average 10 minutes) please mention this to the receptionist when booking, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

It is advisable that a responsible adult should accompany children under the age of 16.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as that appointment can be offered to another patient. Repeated non-attendance may result in your registration being cancelled.

Automated Arrivals

How Do I...
Obtain A Home Visit?

A home visit may be requested if the patient is too ill or infirm to attend surgery; please try to telephone the surgery before 10.00am. A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that the problem can be dealt with by telephone advice.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the health centre.

How Do I...
Obtain Test Results?

Please ring between 11.00am and 3.00pm.

It is the patient's responsibility to contact the surgery for their results.

Blood and urine tests - please allow three working days for results.

X-rays - please allow 7 - 10 days.

Cervical smears - please allow 4 - 6 weeks.

Please telephone the surgery between 11am - 3pm. Results will not be given to anyone other than the patient or parent / guardian of a minor. You may be asked to provide evidence of your identity. Please avoid surgery times to ring for results.
